Glad it was of help. With adwords you get about 50% and often closer to 80% of the cost per click if someone clicks the ad. You will find higher paying keywords but the thing to keep in mind is that the higher the CPC the more competitive it will be to get traffic for as well.

Thank you for a wonderful post.

I just started my first blog, and made $0.04 so far. Guess I’m on my way!

I have a question about adwords. When I search, I see a CPC (cost per click) for each string of keywords, but the amount seems to top out at two dollars and change. In your post you mention a fictional string which will pay you $0.50, which means that the CPC would be around $5.00. Why am I not seeing amounts that high? Should I be?

Wow, this post was incredible – like a book within a blog post!

As a writer myself, I’m determined to come up with the largest list possible of all the (legitimate) ways that writers can make a living – 1000 or more ideas is my goal.

Hi, I sat here and read your whole blog! I took lots of notes. I am just starting out here and i have gathered alot of helpful things on here that make a lot of sense to me! I created my first blog when i watched a youtube video work for google. I had 7 veiws but no comments yet which i just created this yesterday i went to the sites that allow me to leave my website link. I signed-up with BlueHost today from your site. So I hope a payment will be generated to you. This is my very first attempt to have my own site. I have been buying domain names for years from GoDaddy, but never did anything with them. Now I am ready. Matter of fact; now I “must” make it on the Internet, as I don’t have a job, and no longer want to be a Traveling Live-in Caregiver.

I just want to add, be sure to use Xomba to add all of your links. You will need to write at least 100 words about your website, blog etc. but they pay 50% of the earnings and I make some good money there.

You can write there too, but I’ve heard the articles have no follow links, whereas the bookmarks do.

Sometimes my bookmarks will show-up better than the site does in Google.

I’m afraid I am not really sure what your blog is about – it looks a little muddled to me. Having very large image files can be a turn off since they take a long while to download.

Hello there. Although dubious of this all, I am trying to make some money out of my blogging reaching from 2006. I see i must do sth now, since 4 years were spent doing nothing really, except enjoying in writing withou any interest.
Woul certainly appreciate it if u would take a look at my blog and make any suggestions.
the problem is that English is not my mother tongue, and i fear that the English dispalyed there is not of such quality as yours is. that could act as a turn off.

I really can’t tell you how much this has changed my life; this post getting me started and your other money site have had more of an influence than you can imagine. My family was below the US poverty line, so I’m glad you posted this stuff here, because you reach a totally different audience here.
